A very late post. Nevertheless, I had a great birthday dinner with the girls!
We settled for Korean BBQ which I had a craving since Shanghai (I couldn’t find a good Korean place comparable to this).
The appetizers. Kimchi~ Kimchi~

The BBQ meat. They have servers to do it for us. Heh.

We ended the meal with a nice hot seafood noodles soup.

Halfway through the meal, Amy said that she needed to leave earlier as she’s catching a movie and Rebec commented that she don’t mind going back earlier since there’s work the next day.
Okay, I felt really disappointed. But I’m understanding, if she really wants to spend some time her with boyfriend. So, they hurriedly left before desserts were served, while me and MJ continued with the meal.
I seriously did not detect any amiss. Everything went normally – we took the train back to Tampines. And upon stepping out from the control station, the surprise came. The 2 girls popped out in front of me with a bouquet of rose and a cake!
I was so shocked and surprised!

They prepared a sparkle stick as my birthday candle! There is no way to blow it off, so I could have as many wishes as the sparkle goes on? haha.

The lovely rose bouquet and the birthday ‘angpo’.

I love my girlfriends! Thank you for the specially planned surprise!

On a side note, don’t you find the Hello Kitty polaroid films extremely adorable!!! so kawaii~
Hello Kitty only weigh 3 apples. haha.

Seriously, I never thought I would receive a Tiffany from him, knowing his preference for brands and gifts.
It was indeed a very pleasant surprise.
I was overwhelmed by emotions and I made a very stupid remark.
“This.. This is not crystal right.”
p.s. it is not a ring.
chocolates for the bunny. bo-ing, bo-ing~

Hello Mr. Yu!
You look just like your dad. It was not easy for your mommy to give birth to you. Please be healthy and happy always. I am extremely delighted about your birth and I look forward to see you grow up. Love you sweetie. =)
It’s been a while since I last felt so rejuvenating~ The sweet smelling flowers and gorgeous bright colors put on a big wide smile on my face. ![]()

I looked tanner right? I have become darker ever since X-Games event, a month plus ago. I didn’t exactly spend a lot of time out in the sun, but that cumulative 2-3hours per day was enough to make my skin a couple of shades darker! And I still have the atrocious tan line just right below my knee due to the gym pants that I wore.
Having to be exposed to the strong UV rays everyday, it is always pampering to treat your skin with a moisture mask. I’m a crazy mask lover – I would stock up on my mask supplies and mask my skin whenever I feel like it. Sometimes, I would use up to 4 masks per week!
Currently, I’m obsessed with Ettusais Medicated Acne Whitening Dual Mask. It is a whitening mask that tailors to acne-prone skin by preventing pimples and yet also provides intensive care for dark spots, freckles and acne scars.

I would follow my normal regime and apply the AC Aqua Shooter that keeps skin hydrated and fight acne bacteria, before applying my mask!

And the thing I love most about it – it comes in 2 pieces!! One for T-Zone and the other for U-Zone.

Needless to say, the T-zone mask targets the oil-prone T zone, boosting the moisture level while the U Zone keeps the other half of your face away from dryness and fine lines.

Just within 15 minutes, my face feels so soft and supple. =)
After removing the Medicated Acne Whitening Dual Mask, I gently massage the remaining essence into my skin! And ta-da, I wake up to ultra soft and fairer skin the next day!

If you would notice, I got a haircut in Taiwan. Recommended by Hui Chun, I decided to trust the famous hairstylist, 小曼老师. Upon calling for appointment, they told us that the earliest slot would be next year May! At the end, I did go ahead with another stylist, Monkey, from the salon.
He did a simple analysis of my hair condition and my looks, and discussed with me on the new look. Everything sounded good, and the end product was alright.
I am just a little fussy about my fringe though, it is neither here nor there. I guess I should just be a good girl and stick to Kenaris.
Besides pampering myself to a whole lot of shopping, good yummy food and an expensive haircut (it cost me 1500NT!), I planned to paint my nails! I missed painted nails. I brought along my Jelly Beans Party Box from Ettusais, all the way from Singapore to Shanghai to Taiwan, just for my vacances.

Remember the limited edition Ettusais Vacances Nail collection last year? Now, they are back and back with a sniff~
Upon drying, these colors are scented with either yummy coconut, peach, raspberry or citrus smells! (:
Here’s my pack of vacances nail colors + gel top coat.
From L-R: Ettusais Gel Top Coat, 14 Sugar, F1 Honey Caramel, 10 Soda, F6 Pink Guava
I did a simple “diva” nails with the F1 Honey Caramel and French the tips with 14 Sugar.
And not forgetting, coating my lovely nails with Ettusais Gel Top Coat!
It has the glossy and shiny texture that makes the nails look like gel nails! At the same time, it conditions the nails with jojobar oil and it dries so quickly that you don’t have to worry about smudges!
Love my coconut scented gel-like nails~
And guess what? I spotted Ettusais counters in Taipei @ 新光三月.
Talked to the beauty advisors and they are all so friendly and smiley, just like ours in Singapore~ (:

I just returned from a hospital visit. It was for a joyous moment:
My colleague’s new born baby daughter..

She’s so small, only 4 days old.

I looked really happy in this photo, don’t I?

She definitely the youngest baby I had ever carried. I was pretty scared though but it seems like I did managed her well. haha..

awww~ isn’t she adorable! the way she looked at me… *melts*

Babies are so pure and wonderful.

carefully hidden under my pillow and I was only informed moments before his plane took off.
did the person who designed this card read his mind?
needlessly to say, i teared so much.
and every drop was happiness.
My last night in Singapore before leaving to Shanghai.
The choice was Jaan at Swisshotel. It was an initimate setting with not more than 15 tables.
Swirling the rosé wine in our glasses, such in luck that they have rosé.
And toast to a good internship in Shanghai.
We opted for the degustation set.
Starting off with Amuse Bouche. Prawn sashimi with (I think) plum sorbet.
The combination may sound weird but the taste was amazingly compatible.
We knew it would be an enjoyable evening.
“Fogotten vegetables” autum version, ocean trout confit in citrus oil, arbequina olive oil sorbet.
I do wonder why it’s named “forgetten vegetables”.
All the pieces came in mini-size, so exquisite that I spent some time admiring the symphony and I didn’t know where to start. When I went on the first piece, Kelvin was already half-way through. And we have fun guessing which one was the olive oil sorbet.
Grilled tuna belly, smoked basil oil and aromatic charcoal powder.
Nothing can go wrong with Otoro, simply wonderful.
In the menu, it wrote “Truffle or Foie Gras upon arrival”.
To our delight, it was truffle and foie gras. The strong rich truffle mousse totally blew me off. And the pairing with foie gras sandwiched with the crisp is just so awesome. (oh no, I’m craving for it now….)
Marbie body baked in salt crust, “Emilie” crab bouilion and its crispy rissole.
One word – “Fresh”!
Slow roasted “Pre sale” lamb saddle, wild rice carbonara and liquidized sweet peas.
This was slightly anti-climax. The previous dishes were probably too outstanding.
This one didn’t shine out much. We still love the lamb racks in Bangkok Central.
Pre-Dessert – Brandied Cherries
Dessert de la Saison – rich chocolate cake. So yummy.
Le Petit Fours – the berries popsicle coated with white chocolate is so refreshing.
Such a great dinner. I would love to be back for another round.
Oh well, i’m missing Kuriya and Wahiro.
And the Tanjong Pagar mee sua and chendol.
Plus my mommy’s cooking….
my boss came to office with this big pack of red dates.

I have never seen such huge dates. They are bigger than my thumb!

I was never a red dates fan and where can you find red dates in Singapore? besides the ones for soups.
but these red dates are so delicious! huge and sweet, with no artificial flavouring/sweetener.
They are from this shop called – 好想你枣 (miss you very much dates). ahahah.. how interesting.
anyway, these red dates are not only nice, they are expensive too.
normal ones would usually cost 6-10rmb for 500g.
these dates are 138rmb for 1kg, which is the big packet that my boss bought. It contains 10 small packs.
i think i’ll just slowly savour the ones my boss bought.
