A few days ago, I was invited to Domino’s Pizza tasting session.

They have recently launched a new pizza crust – The Cheese Burst Crust.

What’s so special about this cheese burst crust? It has a layer of creamy cheddar cheese sauce spread in between two very thin crust which gives the burst of cheese when you bite down on the pizza!

We were served with 5 different Pizzas – Hawaiian Paradise, Extravaganzza, Classy Chic, Classic Pepperoni and Chilli Chicken.

Frankly speaking, I have never been a fan of pizza chains and I dislike pan pizzas. I am a thin crust person.

What made me went for Domino’s Tasting Session was the recommendations by many of my friends. I have heard raves about Domino’s Pizza but never had a chance to try it. I wonder why.

So I tried the Classic Pepperoni on Cheese Burst Crust…

Also the Hawaiian Paradise on Cheese Burst Crust…

Are you thinking what I’m thinking!? *SCREAMS* CHOCOLATE LAVA CAKE~

Chocolate lava oozing out. The cake is soft and moist with a slight crisp on the surface. Nice and sweet!

We were all given the chance to visit their kitchen and make our own pizzas!! Here’s me, samantha, yingzi and william getting geared up.

It was so fun and I wished I have photos to show you but photography was not allowed in the kitchen.

I made “Jeanine’s Pizza”. haaha.. I didn’t follow their combinations. I added mushrooms, onions, smoked chicken breast and beef pepperoni.

Domino’s ROCKS!

I have to say that I am really impressed with Domino’s Pizza. Not only are they generous with the ingredients, the crust is tasty too! I am loving the Prawn Sensation (served later with hand tossed crust, i have no photos of it as it was snapped up when served) and Classic Pepperoni. And of course, the Chocolate Lava Cake.

But I’m sad! They don’t deliver to Tampines.

As Domino’s introduced the 30 minute delivery guarantee, they want to make sure that they live up to the promise. Therefore, they only make deliveries to places where they have a presence.

I hope Domino’s open up in Tampines soon. Do you know that their prices are nett prices and provides free delivery! That’s some awesomeness~ There’s also online only offers, like the Chocolate Lava Cake goes at half price when you order online.

Yours truly  is mushroom fanatic. I’m always ordering mushroom dishes whenever possible and my mom loves to use mushrooms in her dishes as well. Also, I practically live on mushrooms when I was in Shanghai. There is bound to be a pack of mushrooms in my shopping cart whenever I head to the supermarket. It’s in my soups, stir-fry dishes and even spaghetti!

Some time ago, I learnt about the new range of bottled mushrooms by YIFON and I was so excited to recieve a whole bag of bottled mushrooms with compliments from YIFON and Vibes Comm!

You can consume it directly from the bottle! Which means you could snack on mushrooms rather than junk food! This is just perfect for busy individuals and the lazy ones too. heheheh.

My favourite ones are the Spicy Golden Mushroom,

and the Assorted Mushrooms.

The Spicy Golden Mushrooms go extremely well with the Korean Spicy Ramen and the chili oil can also spice up other dishes. While the Assorted Mushrooms simply adds on more variety to my meals.

yum yum~ Even my mom was surprised at the rich taste and good quality of YIFON bottled mushrooms! And she is using the empty glass bottles as seasoning containers. haha.

YIFON bottled mushrooms are available at all major supermarkets for only $1.95 per bottle! What else more can I say? Go try it yourself.

It’s really a headache to cook for just one share.

My 1st attempt in soups:
Ribs + Corn + Carrot + Melon. =)

my mom was tidying up the kitchen and threw away a full bag of goodies. I didn’t know there’s an expiry date for olive oil. I mean, oil actually expires? haha.

we noticed several items nearing their datelines and one of it was the cake mixture that I bought in Paris.

Petits Moelleux au coeur fondant:

It wasn’t in its nice box packaging as I took out the contents and cut out the instructions to save on luggage space. Thankfully the expiry date was printed on the silver foil.

It’s an extremely easy recipe. I managed to make some sense out of the French instructions. Just mix the milk into the cake mixture and send it off to the oven!

After 15 minutes, out came the lovely chocolate moist cupcakes and the rich robust chocolate smell filled the house.

It is not as moist since I overbaked it.  But it’s still super yummy! The chocolate taste great, comparable to the ones served at patisseries.

This is the 1st cake mixture pack that didn’t fail me. I was never successful with the cake/cookie mixtures I get in NTUC.

I can see that this will make great desserts for Christmas!

Now, i should go to the supermarket and get a tub of vanilla ice-cream!
