Can’t believe it’s already the 2nd week of 2012!!! :D And CNY is juuuust coming right up in less than 2 weeks~

Ettusais has been really nice to send me a greeting card with lovely goodies just before the year ended! :D

The super moisturizing Lip Essence x Little Twin Stars. *Kawaiiiiiiii*!
Another one added to my inventory! I wonder how am I ever gonna use up all the Lip Essence and Lip Essence Stick with only a pair of lips. *smooch*

They have also included the Ettusais 2012 Planner! This is soooooo awesome~
Not only does it include monthly planners, they come with note pages after every month! Plus, there’s a sticker page too! Heh.

Before the year ended, I managed to catch up with YQ.
This time round, the food places that we wanted to try were ALL fully booked~
So we settled for Halia @ Botanic Gardens.
I went there for brunch some years ago and it left me a good impression.

We had some fresh oysters for appetizers.
They were fine, not exactly the sweet type that I like.

His Oven-Baked Chilean Seabass Fillet.
You know, I always regret my choices because his food always turn out to be much nicer than mine! If you do dine at Halia, you cannot miss this seabass~
Even though it’s oven-baked, it doesn’t compromise on the fish’s freshness and tenderness. And the sauce is just mouth-watering!!!
The fish is accompanied by Japanese rice and cucumbers. Perfect combination!

Mine Pan-fried Hiramasa Kingfish.
It was really just so-so and I was simply drooling over the seabass throughout the dinner. I would usually choose seabass but I get disappointed all the time, so I decided to opt for kingfish and still, it was a disappointment. :(

We had a cheese platter to end off the dinner. Yums.

Well, when i had both brands in Paris 2 years back, I favoured La Durée over Pierre Hermés. I kinda felt PH crust was overly soft. LD had a chewy bite.

But for now, I think I prefer Pierre Hermés. However, I’m still not a big fan of his experimental creations. The traditional flavours are my cup of tea!

Now, I wonder when will be my next encounter with these little sweeties!

MBS had made special arrangements for hotel guests to countdown at the Infinity Pool.

Just look at the crowd at 11:30pm!

It was a splendid night spent watching the beautiful fireworks popping just right in front of us! :)

Back-to-Baby Skin!

Last Friday, I popped over Ettusais Cafe for some tea while they introduced 3 new upcoming products.

The BB cream craze has been going on for years and I still remember the first few Korean brands that I have tried. I know BB creams work magically on many girls but somehow it’s just not my cup of tea?

This coming September (tomorrow!), Ettusais will be introducing 2 BB products – BB Mineral Cream and BB Mineral Powder, while BB stands for “Back-to-Baby” skin. (:

The Ettusais BB Mineral Cream is formulated with 79% skin care ingredients and not forgetting the star ingredient AC-Control Oil (yes, banish those acne!!!).

The Ettusais ambassadors met up for a dinner date @ Food for thought! 2010 had been a busy year for all of us and we hardly get to meet up. Even so, Sarah was tied up at work while Jayne fell ill. You girls are missed!

While waiting for our food, we played a game, supposedly a cool popular one in Japan! Ha.

All we did was drawing connecting lines without knowing what it leads us to~

After a few rounds, Sherry revealed that the connecting lines will lead us to our prizes! Yeah~ What’s a game without prizes!!! :D

Look what I’ve got in my handbag!!

So pretty, isn’t it! Resembles a miniature cake. Hehe. ;)

It’s a tube of scented hand moisturizer by Ettusias – “Sweet Dear Hand”.

It contains macadamia nut oil, refined honey and hyaluronic acid that keeps the hand well-moisturized.

As the name suggests, the hand cream is smell deliciously yummy. Mine is grape-scented! Ahhh… smells so sweeeeet~

And it also contains bright (pink + gold) pearls that lend the skin a brilliant glow.

Liner & Gloss

I was recently introduced to the idea of using lip liner with lip gloss!

Previous thoughts about lip liner:
- isn’t that for my mom and grandma?
- lip linear goes with lipstick yea?

Now, I have changed my perception towards lip liners~

Check out the Pencil Lip Liner in Orange (you can see the faint line around my lips). I do actually like the color!

Lip liner helps to create subtle definition and perfect our lips shape. It is best know to go with lipstick, acting as a base to make the lipstick last longer.

I bet you didn’t know you could pair lip liner with gloss too!

Bright sunny organge gloss!? Don’t be intimidated by it. You will be surprised to know it’s one of the best selling lip gloss at the counters! ;)
This Jelly Gloss in OR1 color is sheer with a tinge of orange and bright shimmers~

I’m using the lip liner + gloss for Frenchfleurs’ photoshoot. My lippies look so kissable huh. Haha… (Oh my, I’m so obsessed with lips!)

Feeling unhappy about chapped lips?

This is definitely an issue that has been bothering me for the longest time ever. Even before my acne woes kicked in.

In times like this, lip balms definitely come in handy!

I’m a great fan of Ettusais Lip Essence ever since I started using them at the start of this year.

Back with a Splash!

Remember the Aqua Splash OB that I have introduced a few months back?

I have another Aqua Splash to share with you girls today! And it is the limited edition Aqua Splash M introduced by Ettusais in October~

What is the difference between the 2 bottles? Both are makeup touchup products!

OB is for oily-skin while M is for dry-skin.

Did you see me in the Oct issue of CLEO? :)

It was for the new Ettusais DUO compact foundation.

A lot of us have combination skin and the confusion kicks in when we purchased our foundation. Should we get an oil control foundation and moisture our cheeks more or get a foundation for dry skin and use oil control products on our T-zone? Heh.

Ettusais now introduces a new foundation that combines 2 different compact powders into 1 pact.

The top part is the Shine Prevention Powder that helps to absorb the excess sebum and prevent shine at T-zone. While the other is the Pore Covering Powder, which provides a long lasting smooth looking skin.

Firstly, pick up some shine prevention powder with the sponge and dab at the T-zone.

Next, flip the sponge over and pick up the pore covering powder and apply all over the face, like normal foundation.

I like the new DUO foundation! It gives a dewy effect and it is also an improved formula from the Zero Pore Pact. Now with the shine prevention powder, it keeps my T-zone matte for longer hours! Plus the new foundation case is so pretty!

glittery world

I’m SOOOOooo in love with my new manicure! Hehee. I’m really feeling so excited about it. It’s such a marvelous combination!

They look like some yummilious soda drink or sugared gummy. And I can’t help to think the white part resembles frosting! Haha.

Don’t you think they are so preeettty? :D

And this was made possible with Ettusais new Nail Color! That’s the BE4 color on the left. And the other 2 from the nail vacance series.  Initially when I got the BE4, I was afraid that it may appear over glittery but when I applied on my nails, I couldn’t stop admiring the ultra glittery shine!

Other than nail colors, Ettusais have also introduced 4 new Eye Colors with glitter too! There’s purple, brown, pink and gold.

I chose the BR6 and GD2 plus the beige to create my look.

Firstly, I spread some beige over the entire lid, acting as a base plus brightening the area. Next, using the applicator, I pick up some BR6 and apply on the outer part of my lids, softly blend inwards with the beige. Lastly, I dabbed on the GD2 over the lid, overlapping on the brown.

I am a big fan of earthy tones and this combination is just so perfect for my night out! I usually use matte colors for the day and for the night, I can easily apply these glittery colors over the matte ones.

2 weeks ago, MJ had a themed-dinner to attend and I went over to help her with the preparations. I brought along my Ettusais loots to do up her makeup!

And I used the Bitaba mascara on her! heh. Check out the effect!!

The right side is mascara-ed with Bitaba.

Initially, she wanted to settle with the black dress but after hearing how her friends were dressed, I decided to give her a full makeover!

Picked a shirt to match the dress plus braided her hair and lent her the geeky specs!

She looks great yeah! ;)

I gelled flat his hair to create that old school hairstyle and sacrifice my gel eyeliner to mark his neck with the maths equation.

They named this the teacher and student pair. lol.

I’m pretty satisfied with this round of makeover! Hope you guys had fun at the dinner!! ;)

Lash Diary – Day 4

I was running late for my morning class today and so I decided to let my lashes take a break – I went without the mascara.

My everyday makeup routine consist of sunscreen, loose powder, tinted eye essence, blush, eyeliner plus mascara. Oh ya, and my brows. I often forget to draw brows.

I try to keep everything at minimal level.

Since I didnt have time to curl and coat my lashes today, I took heavier strokes on the eyeliner.

Using an eyeliner pencil, I drew a line on the upper lid and extended out. Next, I lined 1/3 of the lower lid (outer corner) and thicken at the most outer corner.

This helps to define the eyes. You can draw a full lower eye line if you want a more dramatic look, which I supposed it’s too much for school.

Still looking fresh and sharp without mascara or falsies! =)

Lash Diary – Day 3

My day was spent with 4 kids! Now, I have a slightly different perspective of marriage and kids. hmmm…

Firstly, we went to visit Gunilla who gave birth 2 weeks ago. =)

hurhur, he is kinda cute and it is my first time seeing a “ang-mo” baby.
What’s more, Russian-Swedish mix! Can’t wait to see him grow up! ;)

Next, we went on to Ron’s place for dinner. I guess it’s more than a year since I last saw the 3 little ones. Baby Leo is almost 3 years old now! He can walk and speak – I think he’s much cuter when I carried him in my arms. haha..

I noticed that all 3 of them have really long and full lashes, very black too! hur, I’m so jealous.

Do you feel helpless whenever you see a lash falls off? I do. *sad*

Here’s the 2nd item we found at the lash hunt – Ettusais Eyelash Essence.

It contains chrysanthemum and coriander fruit extracts!

The chrysanthemum extract is a good anti-oxidant with moisturizing effects and the coriander fruit extract helps in thickening the lashes and prevents lash loss.

It comes in a soft angled tip which makes application easy. I’m using it before I go to bed, as the last step of my beauty regime.

Since I do not know when is the growing period for my lashes, I (being a little kiasu, haha) condition them everyday! Haha. Can’t wait to see the results! *excites*
