My 3rd trip to Karaoke in my whole life, just for Hui Chun’s birthday. =)

And I got to check out LUXY with some other friends after the celebration.

I look huge. Blame the guy who took the photo, and myself for eating so much.

the dance floor. rock it baby.

host cum rapper.

I find the dancer on the left, in pink, extremely hot!

LUXY feels like Dragonfly + Butter Factory.

Despite the busy schedule, we managed to hold a mini birthday celebration.

Happy Birthday Rebecca!

For the fun of it, we posed for the shot. (You know me, I don’t usually do this. lol.)

Guangzhou event ended on Friday and I extended my return ticket till Saturday night.
I reckon I should head down Hong Kong for a day since i’m so near and therefore I grabbed a early morning train ticket.
Met up with the girls for Dim Sum brunch. I was frantically finding my way from the train to MTR and people there speaks mainly only Cantonese, which i’m poor at. Ended up, I spoke English to them and they replied in Cantonese. Luckily, I still made it to Causeway Bay safely. haha..

This dim sum place is totally awesome! Everything was good and yummy! =)

It was also Janice’s birthday! Shu Heng and Danielle got 2 slices of cakes and had to bargain for the candle. -_-”

bleaming away…

fooling around. haha…

Love you girls!
It was such a great brunch with you all! It definitely felt comforting meeting up out of shanghai and getting a break from work. wished I had more time in HK.

After brunch, the girls went off for their cycling trip while I spent the last few hours shopping!
Bought a pair of heels and a bag for myself + lots and lots of goodies from Qi Hua and Heng Siew.
The traditional biscuits and egg rolls are so yummy!
Once again, I rushed madly back to the train station. My train was scheduled to leave at 4:25pm and I hit the entry at 4:15pm. *phew*
After returning the Guangzhou, it took such a long time to clear the immigrations and it left me rushing again for my flight. -_-”
I’m heading back to Singapore tomorrow. I CANNOT WAIT TO BE BACK!

I feel so disconnected with school.
I’m back. touch down at 5:30am, unpack, took a shower and headed off to school. Rushed through my assignment on the mrt ride. When I arrived at class, I realised it had to be handwritten. And I had 2 quizzes today, which obviously were not studied for.
My shanghai trip was an eventful one. I got conned by the cab driver when I arrived at Shanghai airport. He knew I wasn’t local and took a detour. What’s fuming me mad was he gave me a fake receipt which leaves me no chance of suing him to get back my $$.
Upon arrival at the hotel, there wasn’t any reservation under my name. Had to call Leon and luckily, he had the order reservation number. Next, I tried to topup my china sim card but it didn’t seem to work. Plus singtel didnt give me my roaming! Lastly, the Internet connection in my room was screwed up. What a night for my last day of my 21st year.
But thankfully for the lovely birthday present. The room was great! I soaked in the bubble bath to de-stress and had a good night rest.

Everything worked out well the next day. I got both phones working and Internet access.
And thanks to everyone who wished me!
I couldn’t possibly reply then. What’s more, facebook & wordpress were both blocked in China. I was really deprived of my leisure outlets. It was days later that I found a way to access Facebook!
Lunch at Paul’s was a disappointment. I had grilled scallops, lemon macaroon and raspberry tart. I didn’t feel the Parisian touch.
Went down to Kang Jun for a pampering massage session, sponsored by Kelvin. 60mins foot massage plus 90mins of full body! Totally awesome!
All for just $40.
In the night, Leon drove me down to Shi Men Yi Lu.
had my cravings satisfied @ Xiao Yang Sheng Jian Guan. We arrived at 10.45pm, just in time for the last batch of buns! My birthday bun! haha…

The hotel was great, apparently a 5-star. Totally loved the bath tub. I have no idea why it’s 2 queen-size beds. They have an indoor swimming pool at 26th floor that oversees part of the city.

The luxurious stay only lasted for 3 nights. I moved into miao’s place – a very drastic change.

There were alot of construction and road works going on in his area. Air quality was really bad. I could feel the dust in the air. I was looking for the iron and I found it in the cupboard, with a thick layer of dust!! These people don’t iron their clothes??? It probably laid in there since I left the house 3 years ago.

Went down to Ettusais today to collect my birthday treats! My essentials!

Sheradine folded a lovely pink crane for me!! Thanks dear!

With the hectic schedule over the months, my face has suffered occasional acne attacks. My bad for packing too many things together, not drinking enough water and the lack of sleep. I guess it would have been worse if not for Ettusais. I have some acne that keep popping out at the same spots. This is so irritiating! I’m trying a new Ettusais product that targets this problem. Will do a review next month!

Went down to Wahiro for dinner last night.
Chef Kim specially prepared a “flower” and a “heart” for me!
haha… lovely isn’t it?

this is pretty special. rectangular sushi + sushi ball. super yummy!

he even got me a slice of chocolate cake too! haha.. and not to miss my favourite sea urchin!!

I totally dig Japanese food.
alright, off i go. won’t be able to blog for the next 10 days. China blocks wordpress. how sad!

Went down to Tiong Bahru for finger-licking good seafood!
I love the crabs there, super fresh and cheap~

After dinner, we headed for donuts and coffee!
And a cosmetic educational tour for jin and rebec. haha..

kelvin and his dad celebrated their birthdays a week ago.
yes, both father and son share the same birth date! isn’t that cool~ haha.
is that the best gift a wife could give to her husband? =)
there’s a birthday discount promotion going on at Shangri-la. You get the equivalent discount of your age when you dine at any restaurant in Shangri-la on your birthday.
Since Kelvin’s dad is celebrating his 68th, we decided to dine in at Nana-man. it’s supposed to be one of singapore’s top japanese restaurant.
the waitresses are all dressed up in traditional kimonos.!
but it was a disappointment.
firstly, the decor of the place:

nothing impressive. I prefer Kuriya’s ambience…

they restricted the discount to 4 different set menus. I chose Set C…

his parents and uncle…

the 3-kinds sashimi..

the chawanmushi.. tasted just like kuriya’s.. haha…

the california rolls…

eileen’s grilled prawns and scallops..

kelvin’s grilled cod fish…

my terpanyaki beef in raw-medium. tender and juicy!

they gave the birthday men free chocolate mousse cake!

a group photo~

i didnt enjoy the dinner much. food isn’t fanstatic but yet the pricing is horrifying. Total bill was $900+ and thankfully for the 68% discount, we paid $300. But still, I rather spend the $$ on Kuriya. For a much satisying and enjoyable meal.
after dinner, both of us headed to the magic bar… they have a huge range of cocktails with cute drawings!

kelvin ordered caiprinha.. it came along with a wooden stirrer. for you to crush the lime!

here’s my chocolate martini.. it’s banana choco milkshake with tequila.. haha..

with the man who gained another year…

I didnt take much photos for the night cause I was worried about grandpa. And it so happened that I received the call when we finished the 1st round of drinks.

Saturday night was one strawberry margarita, two champagnes, one red wine and three white wine.
Celebrated Callum’s birthday at White Bait. Somewhere in Tanglin, located in a medical center. Which i see why it was their last night of operations.
the place… lighting was bad.. photos turn out bad too…

the peeps…

us…

starters.. fried white bait. (delicious!)

some vegetable soup. (which is totally digusting. not just the color, but the taste too.)

oysters. (had to settle for something good to please my tastebuds!)

my angus beef, medium. shd have ordered medium raw instead. i couldnt finish up. kelvin, edwin and alexis practically settled it for me.. lol..

kelvin’s prawn spaghetti… (i think even pastamania makes it better than them.)

Callum’s petit gateau.

A gift from one of them.. the content is hilarious. I swear! haha…

his “thank-you” speech for the gift.. lol…

we all had a good laugh reading the book! lol..
