Hello everyone! Here’s up I have been up to recently other than my holiday trips~

oh! poupée is finally up and running.

Poupée refers to doll in French and is pronounced as “po-pey”. oh! poupée is inspired by the passion for dolling up. As girls, we all want to look pretty and own pretty things.

From changing Barbie’s clothes to sneakily wearing our mother’s high heels to having our own princess dresses to now, dressing up ourselves for every little occasion.

oh! poupée believes that every girl has the right to dress up and strut their style.

Nature Rose Night Jelly EX

Bought this best selling night jelly during last year’s trip to Taiwan and I finally got down to try it out!

The jelly texture is thicker than gel-based moisturizers and it’s in a light musky rose color.

Been using it for close to 2 months and I’m close to finishing up the tub.
(photos in this post were taken when I started using it.)

You dont need to use alot, just a cherry size and it is enough to spread over the whole face.

My skin appears more moisturized in the morning and it doesnt give me any breakout but it doesn’t have a long-term effect. I don’t see any improvement in my skin over the past 2 months.

I would think that the jelly works better on people who sleep with air-condition, where it tends to dry the skin. (I don’t on my air-con in the night.)

It cost only approx. $12 when you get it in Taiwan. Definitely a worthy buy for its price. (:

7 days in Taiwan

The girls and I went on to our very 1st holiday trip together to Taiwan.

A full 7-day trip and oh boy are we exhausted now.

We went to many places unexpectedly (by bumping into a very friendly tour guide) and it was an extremely fruitful holiday. So much so that we called up Tigerair to increase our luggage weight.

We checked-in a whopping 108kg!! Plus we all had hand-carry luggage..

Club Chinoiserie Collection

“dangerously luxurious” was the theme for Francis Cheong’s show at Audi Fashion Festival.

And here’s my interpretation of it!

Remember the H&M Conscious collection I mentioned a while ago? I couldn’t resist the temptation (as usual) and got the lovely scalloped tiered dress. Thankfully for this event, I got to wear it out! :)

Before we managed to take any nice shots of ourselves, we had a tough time getting into the venue. And it was a long wait before we could enjoy the show. It was supposed to start at 9pm but by the time they open up the seating area and having everyone to settle down, it was 10.20pm.

Enough of talk, time for the photos and video! I particularly liked the flowy dresses.

I thought this was a marvelous combination.

Fast 5

Thanks to OMY, I caught the preview of Fast 5 on Wednesday!

I was surprised to learn that it’s already the 5th installment of the series. The first movie was released in 2001, oh boy, that’s 10 years ago~

You know how films start to fail when going on to the 3rd sequel – where it lacks of story and substance. For Fast 5, it totally blew me away! The plot is ingenious! Like the previous 4 films, Fast 5 was filled with jaw dropping and eye popping actions. The film was shot in Rio, Brazil which gave the movie a very good set.

I would give it 4.5 out of 5 stars. The missing 0.5 is for the cheesy moments. It did give the movie some humor but it is totally lame! haha…

bangs, bangs, bangs

This is me when I was 9 years old.

And this is me after visiting Salon Vim a few days ago!

It’s been more than 10 years since I last kept straight bangs. It took me quite a lot of courage to make this decision. I’m not exactly an adventurous one when it comes to hairstyles (though I wish I am).

I shut my eyes tight while John (the hair stylist) trimmed off my fringe.. When he said “OK!”, I took a peep and opened my eyes widely the next moment. “Oh god, this hairstyle is overly cute (for me).”

It’s probably a good start for an end. Yet, I’m already missing my side swept fringe.

Marmalade Pantry

I have been to this place almost 3 years ago and the sticky date toffee pudding left me craving for it all this while.

Oh yes, Marmalade Pantry, I’m back! I wonder what took me so long to make a return visit!

It was a highly anticipated affair for me. I had a list of dishes in my mind but to my disappointment, they served only the brunch menu on Sundays! (not too sure about Saturdays)

Battered Cod, Mushy Peas with Bacon Gribiche
This came with disappointment upon seeing the size of the fish. Also, it was too oily.

Steak Sandwich with wasabi mayonnaise, caramelized onions and rocket
Nothing to pick on. It’s worth a try. The vegetables chips were interesting.!

Crabmeat Linguini with pine nuts, tomatoes and chili
This is KING! We give it 10/10~ We loved it so much that we ordered another serving. :D

Sticky Date & Toffee Pudding with vanilla ice cream
The star for the night! The pudding is not exactly as what it means. The texture is very similar to sponge cake but denser and kinda melts in your mouth though. The sweets of caramel, date and toffee is just so excellent. The girls found the taste similar to ‘huat-kuai’ but nevertheless, find it irresistible too!

Here comes a lil’ surprise for the birthday girl~

Cinnamon Spiced Apple Cake with cream cheese frosting
The cream cheese frosting is soooo good. I love it on carrot cakes too.
