I am in Beijing right now, for work, the last lap of my internship. Flying off to Guangzhou tomorrow morning. Only had time to check out 南锣鼓巷 before lunch, one of the oldest areas in Beijing.
We went there too early for the shops to be opened.
Thankfully for some early birds, we managed to check out some interesting shops.
As well, we queued for the famous milk pudding store.
There were at least 50 people in front of us and we queued for 35 minutes.
Ordered all their specialties but it was an utter disappointment. Nothing much special.
Anyway, this is so back-dated – My weekend trip to Beijing a month back. I have heard so much about the Forbidden City but it was a disappointment when I arrived there. Maybe I am not much of a Chinese culture fan.

But I like this photo against the old red wall, which I was made to pose.

Spent half the day walking around the palace, looking at dozens of similar architecture, which I was not at all fascinated by.
