Happy Birthday. May this year be soaring high for you. =)

how intricately interesting this is. via here
I am so tempted to take out a bill now and follow the instructional video. But it’s not too nice to do it during office hours.
Oh! the toliet paper origami looks cool too! maybe I can attempt it in the toliet.
lol.

I can’t help to feel that Kai Yao bears a resemblance to 淼, not physical features but the overall vibes.
I think the accent and hand gestures contributed to it.
can you tell we are of the same age? he thought I was 2-3 years older. #*&%$~!
I should meet more local people of my age, enough of the 1970s and early 1980s.
and shit, I seriously put on a lot of weight. chubby cheeks*
It’s my off day today and I pampered myself to a good 2-hour massage session.
I felt like a piece of dough on the massage bed…

some quick calculations, I think I’ve wasted 5 weeks of house rental fees by going on work & personal trips.. darn.
this event was held in Shanghai though, but I insisted on staying at the hotel, given the crazy working hours.

workers busy setting up the graphics and racks…

the setup lasted through till 4:30 in the morning and I had to bring my boss through the progress at 8am.

we customized our props and i’m keeping the thermal bottle! ![]()
And due to unclear instructions, we did not make pillow cases with the cloth given to us. Therefore, I took sewing kits from the hotel and churned out 2 pillow cases on the spot.
With that, everyone started commenting on the motherly side of me…. -_-”

I was put in charge of the part-timers (undergrads) again, plus the common area graphics and directional signs.
It’s no easy feat to handle 40 over of them. Shanghai students are indeed different from the ones we had in Xiamen.
I think I did a terribly poor job this time round.
Anyway, we celebrated 3 of their birthdays on the last day as they coincide with the event.

Despite having some problematic students, some of them were really helpful and nice.
And it’s so sweet of them to request a photo with me.
Side note: Do I look much older than them?

April is coming to an end. I am counting down to my days in Shanghai, 2 more projects and i’m done with my internship.
What’s next?

captured this while I was on my way home yesterday morning.
candy cream, jelly syrup, chocolate and sugar frostings…

porcelain white cream-smeared sponge cake.

and 3 not-so-artistic artists…

presenting Amy’s birthday cake…

The pretty birthday girl!
