It certainly feels good to be back in Singapore, despite the horrendous weather.

Everything seems to fit back in place nicely, as if I had never left the country. Took the buses and MRT as usual, ran around to do my errands.

Me and Kelvin decided to have our usual Wahiro for dinner. They have moved out from Kallang Mall to Roxy Square.

Seasonal pick. We ain’t a fan of octopus and moreover, the full baby octopus.
It was good though, but it wouldn’t be on our fave. list. *it’s a little scary*
P1080278e

Swordfish?

dimsum.birthday.shopping

Guangzhou event ended on Friday and I extended my return ticket till Saturday night.

I reckon I should head down Hong Kong for a day since i’m so near and therefore I grabbed a early morning train ticket.

Met up with the girls for Dim Sum brunch. I was frantically finding my way from the train to MTR and people there speaks mainly only Cantonese, which i’m poor at. Ended up, I spoke English to them and they replied in Cantonese. Luckily, I still made it to Causeway Bay safely. haha..
P1080243e

This dim sum place is totally awesome! Everything was good and yummy! =)
P1080244e

It was also Janice’s birthday! Shu Heng and Danielle got 2 slices of cakes and had to bargain for the candle. -_-”
P1080245e

bleaming away…
P1080249e

fooling around. haha…
P1080251e

Love you girls! :D
It was such a great brunch with you all! It definitely felt comforting meeting up out of shanghai and getting a break from work. wished I had more time in HK.
P1080247e

After brunch, the girls went off for their cycling trip while I spent the last few hours shopping!
Bought a pair of heels and a bag for myself + lots and lots of goodies from Qi Hua and Heng Siew.
The traditional biscuits and egg rolls are so yummy!

Once again, I rushed madly back to the train station. My train was scheduled to leave at 4:25pm and I hit the entry at 4:15pm. *phew*

After returning the Guangzhou, it took such a long time to clear the immigrations and it left me rushing again for my flight. -_-”

I’m heading back to Singapore tomorrow. I CANNOT WAIT TO BE BACK! :D

by the river

Dinner plus a stroll by the river was awesome!. I have no idea where since we hopped on the cab together with the boss to meet a long time friend of his – Jason.

A very lovely sight.
P1080192e

And dinner was just across the road.. Outdoor seating is simply wonderful.
P1080195e

I went to select the seafood for dinner.
P1080196e

such huge turtles. I wouldn’t want it served to me as dinner.
P1080197e

check out the bee wine. yucks.
P1080193e

nothing can go wrong with garlic and scallops. =)
P1080199e

tea leaves prawns. unexpectedly refreshing despite the amount of visible cooking oil.
P1080201e

I got cheated by this steamed egg sea urchin. There’s no flesh inside. :(
P1080200e

After dinner, we took a stroll along the river. The view just reminds me so much of Clark Quay/Boat Quay.
P1080203e

I did not expect it to be a windy night and therefore I was in thin layers. Jason was such a gentleman to give me his jacket, leaving himself with just the long sleeve shirt. To be real gentleman, action speaks louder than words. Very often, people just offer or say things for formality sake.
P1080204e

I sensed a tinge of jealousy from my boss the whole night as all attention was on Jason. Oh well, how can we be blamed. Comparing to someone much taller, younger, better looking and full of zest. haha. I think i’ve got an attention-seeking superior. =X
P1080202e

I went on to have drinks with Jason, while the rest headed back to the hotel. It was a good chat, knowing more about the advertising industry in china and general business relationships. In no time, we finished up a bottle of red wine and ended the day. Seriously, I wished I wasn’t on a work trip.

大董烤鸭

with yvonne’s recommendation, I tried out “Da Dong Roasted Duck”.

the menu alone put me off.  went straight to get the waitress and ordered the duck.
P1080171e

The chef would sliced it up in front of your table.

jet set in spring

I’M COMING BACK!!! :D

For just a week though.

I can’t wait to be back in the arms of my comfort zone!

spring blooms~

I’m starting to enjoy the perks of 4 seasons! The weather is starting to turn for the better.

Just 2 days ago, it snowed but it’s 20 degrees today! Feels good that Spring is approaching!

Everything seems so cheery and I’m in the mood for lipsticks and glosses!
P1080098e

The Ettusais goodies that Kelvin brought up for me:
P1080114e

I have to say, the Melty Touch Rouge is simply AMAZING!! :D
It comes in 5 colors – Pink, Rose, Red, Orange and Beige.

And I’ve picked the Rose for my lippies.
P1080088e

See the 2 rims on the lipstick? The inner one is the gloss and the outer rim is the lip color, giving the perfect combination of color, gloss and moisture~
melty rouge details

Think that the Rose color looks too strong? In fact, it’s actually quite sheer when you apply on. And it melts to the lips making it spread smoothly and easily. Check out the color difference of my lips!

The upper is my original lip color while the lower is after applying Melty Touch Rouge in Rose.
P1080099e

Isn’t it Amazing!!? I really love the color. :D
P1080104e

The Melty Touch Rouge is retailing at $30 and it is LIMITED EDITION!!! Quick go grab!!

Besides the wonderful lipsticks, Ettusais has also introduced brand new lip glosses for this Spring~

Jelly Gloss: comes in 15 shades – 7 sheer and 8 opaque!
Isn’t that great? Sometimes we feel like sheer, sometimes we want colors. Ettusais have introduced so many shades for you to choose from, you’re sure to find something suitable. ;)
P1070370e

And with the unique spatula application, it allows the gloss to glide on evenly and smoothly, creating glossy and plump lips like jelly! It is equipped with Jojoba oil that helps to treat your lips and seal in the moisture.
P1080092e

The glosses are retailing at $25 each.

Both Melty Touch Rouge and Jelly Gloss are out in stores already! Remember to check them out!

take a breather

sorry for the disappearance. I have been working non-stop since 20th feb.

Although I managed to escape from office for these 2 days, I’m unfortunately down with a bad sore throat and slight fever. And I still have some work on hand to complete before Monday comes.

Anyway, I will try my best to update. It has been an eventful month for me – so much tears of joy and unhappiness.

I will backdate my entries, so scroll down to read over the next few days!
