After seeking high and low for macarons on the 1st day, and 2 bad attempts of macarons, I arrived at the famous La Durée today!
Although Kelvin claims that it’s a tourist thingy, but we were the only asians among the long queue of people.
I must say there was at least 20 people in front of me? But i waited patiently for my turn and admired the little round sweet ones.
I picked 8 pieces and they cost me 9.12euros. that’s $2.30 for one!
But it’s definitely worth the price! After we tasted the macarons, I joined the queue again and ordered more. a few more for myself and some for the house party later.
In total, we spent close to 40euros, for 31 pieces of macarons.

IT’S TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!
You could taste the natural flavour, it’s almost like eating the real food. The fruity ones are the best!
it’s unlike the ones in Singapore, which are merely just sweetness, artificial flavouring and boring butter cream filling.
The closest I would consider – the rose macaron from Tin Hill at Bukit Timah. (which i doubt it’s still there)
Next, I’m gonna hunt for Piere Hermes!

It is now 9.20pm and the sky is still bright out there.
