i followed my parents to see the chinese sinsen for my legs…

ya, something is wrong with them. They are not straight!

I’m aware about this problem since many years ago, but it didnt bother me till recently.

So i decided to treat it if it’s possible.

What’s amazing was what the sinsen told me after looking at me, overall..

She said i’m someone who gets upset and depressed very easily and should learn to relax more. And she said i need to find someone who will love and dote me alot as my other half.

Sounds like a fortune teller more than a sinsen?

haha.. anyway, she instructed me to sleep by 11pm every night! In order to have brighter eyes and better complexion.. If I continue with my current routine, i will look older than my mom when i reach 30. !

As well, she told me to quit modelling and stay away from high heels.

(that’s so impossible! I need high heels!)

3Nights, 3Days in Bangkok. Shopping can be quite a tiring activity!

while waiting for the plane…. our flight was delayed….

the small crampy seats in JetStar..

Luckily i booked the aisle seats…

Looking tired when we arrive at bangkok airport…

we reached the hotel at 10pm. The only place available for food was Vertigo…

Vertigo is the restuarant at the top level of Banyan Tree Hotel. It’s open-air!

Lovely ya?

But the lighting was bad!

we had some french oysters as starters…

He had angel hair pasta with tiger prawns…

I took the foie gras with minced duck meat…

It’s our 2nd time up here but the 1st time dining. It will be the last too. The price is not worth the quality of the food… =(

I guess you’re paying for the ambience.. such a relaxing place..

Shall stick to drinks the next time, hopefully during sunset. I’m sure it will be lovely! =D

Sunday, we had a simple fare. Wantan noodles! haha..

took the train down to Chatuchak.

It was 36 degrees! Madness~

the pet shop in chatuchak… cute bunnies!

we went back to the hotel and went for a dip. the swimming pool at Banyan Tree…

with a great view.. =)

dinner was at Central World. My favourite place!!

was greeted by a hunk at the entrance! wahhaaha…

I love the supermarket at the 7th floor. Because you can sit by the counters and order almost anything from the market..

We choose a small bottle of rose…

did i mention that they make the best lamb chops?? For the price of $17.50 only! Most restuarants we tried in singapore can’t even reach the standard.

the sea bass fillet was so F-R-E-S-H!

we had some coffee at the cafe beside, after the satisfying dinner…

Monday morning was the breakfast buffet…

they have an outdoor space as well…

it’s pretty poetic ya? hee..

I love the breakfast!

the honey simply went well with anything! I dipped my omelette, pancakes, harshbrown, tomatoes… And even made a cup of honey drink! lol…

Felt so reluctant to move to Baiyoke Boutique for the 3rd night.. seriously, it was kinda horrible. Merely trying to act boutique.

IF you really wana stay in Pratunam, choose Grand Diamond instead! $110 vs. $70. I strongly GD though it’s $40 more, but this $40 will make your stay much more worthwhile!

Before we headed back to the airport, we went for massage…
Body scrub + Massage, 90mins for only $25!!

Ridiculously cheap? You can never find such deals in Singapore man. I remembered paying $20 for a 30mins foot message at Suntec..

for the whole trip, i only managed to get these… didn’t really have time to shop for myself.. anyway, the bikinis are really cheap!! I got it at $8/set with padding~

it was generally a good trip.. loving Banyan Tree.. hopefully there’s more 1-for-1 offers!!

2nd night in BKK!

we’re staying in Banyan Tree.. hee. managed to get a 1-for-1 deal!

It’s usually $350 for a night, but we got it at the same price for 2 nights! wahahahaha….

i’m totally loving it here!!!

celebrated my dad’s birthday yesterday before i flew off.

brought them to Kuriya for lunch.

it was marvellous!

Koezuka prepared some sashimi for us. Ohhh… the toro tasted great!

Sushi balls on bamboo.. i like this too! Cute and delicious! haha…

I ordered some uni sushi.. My parents tried it for the first time and i’m glad they liked it.

Everything was good and they really enjoyed the food very much.

I’m happy to see them happy and satisfied. =)

The GST rebate came right in time! =pPp

hopefully my group can bang it down. *fingers crossed*

sleeping at 2am and waking up at 7am everyday is torturous.
my skin is getting dry. =(

last night, we had a speech and grooming session for msu. it was fun! haha…

all that impromptu questions: “who do you think is the most noble person”, “if you are the Prime Minister, what will be do to deal with the ageing population problem”, etc…

and we had to write a “winning speech” on the spot… it’s kinda tough, but good preparation for us.

i need to practise more on my walking!

i’ve a model-pageant in between walk.

time to practise on 5″ heels too… *Killer*

V-Charity

Since young, i never liked watching Miss Singapore Universe. I always felt the standard wasn’t up there as compared to the other countries. Especially when my brother always ridiculed the contestants.

I enjoyed watching Miss USA even more, truthfully. Of course, I catch it on cable tv.

I remembered many years back (ok. not so many, maybe in my poly year1), Judy made a casual remark that I should go for MSU. I immediately laughed off and replied, “Are you kidding me? No lah.”

Back then, doing events and modelling had never crossed my mind. Knowing my limits.

But ever since i stepped a foot into this industry and embarked on a “modelling” side job, I have been trying to improve my looks and my body. Braces and lasik were part of the plans.

I like this side job, despite not doing much. Though there’s lot of hardwork to be put in, I enjoy that few seconds of ‘glam’.

One of my resolutions for this year is to join competitions and gain exposure. good exposure.

Ettusias was one of it. And i’m grateful to be one of their ambassador now. Though it’s not a full-fledged model job, at least it’s something worthy at the end of the day. =)

And a month ago, i submitted my application to MSU’09. Seeing the standard lowering each year, I felt that I might just get into the selection.

Last week, I went for the auditions.

And… i’m in!

the final 16!

And today, despite being Valentine’s Day, we went out to do some charity work!

Our first event together, as MSU’s finalists.

Sorry, no photos cause I didnt take any. Shall wait for Syasya to upload on FB!

It’s for Rotary Organization, part of giving a meal project. We went to one of the studio flat and visited 5 houses. We delivered packed meals and snacks to the elderly.

The household that I went to, was a couple aged 70+. They spoke dialects, which i could only understand but don’t speak. Luckily Gina speaks the dialect! =)

We found out alot about the elderly and the charity program. Something really meaningful.

This year’s theme is for the pagaent is “Beauty & Brains with a Heart”, which explains the charity part.

For me, i have always put charity at the back of my mind. Becos i believe that one must be self-sufficient first before helping others. (Alright, with this in mind, i probably will not win any titles.)

Anyway, the events and publicity are not confirmed. Looking at the schedule now, there isnt much media exposure. Worst still, I will be missing from the charity dinner which doubles up as the press conference.

darn.. i will be out of town. But i’m reluctant to sacrifice the trip for the dinner.

Oh well… Although it is not as prestigious as before, I’m sure it will still be a great learning experience!

Alright, i’m gonna hit the gym every single day. The bikini shoot is in March! =X

In Love with Colors

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Have you gotten ready your gorgeous chic outfit for that romantic day? If not you can get them @ Frenchfleurs! Besides dressing up well, don’t forget to do up a pretty makeup to mesmerize your date!

Here’s Christine being the model, while Chelsea demonstrates on the application of the cute colors.

Some tips to share with you babes:

1. How to apply cute colors? This is more suitable for girls with round eyes/face/eyebrows. It’s not just the colors but also the way you apply it. Simply dab on the brightening base color (light pink) on the whole eye socket, follow on with the dark pink on the middle of your eyelids in a circular shape. Use the light green on your lower lid and inner corner of your eyes.

2. For cool and feminine colors, simply apply the base first followed by the main color over your eyelids but don’t go beyond the crease line! Next, use the darkest shade as liner. You can create a smokey look by thickening the darkest color.

I chose the feminine colors, comprising of a white base, pinkish purple and black. Upon close inspection, you can actually see the shimmers! I love shimmer glitters!! Hahah..

Here is my step-by-step mini tutorial for a light smokey eye makeup:

1. Dab on the Eye Zone Tinted Color Essence to neutralize my dark circles and brighten up the eye area, at the same time, moisturizing it!

2. Apply a thin layer of base color on to the entire eye socket. You can use the applicator provided or an eye-shadow brush. For a lighter look, use your fingers instead.

3. Apply the main color on your eyelids.

4. Pick up some purplish pink color using a eyeshadow brush and blend on the side of your palm. (You can mix a little of the black to get a dark purplish color). Apply at the outer corner of your eyelids.

5. Now, use the black as your eyeliner. Draw the line close to the base of of your lashes. I prefer to draw a longer eye line as it would make my eyes bigger. Using the pointed tip, carefully apply a thin line of the darkest shade onto your lower eyelids with some brightening base to the inner corner of your eyes.

Review on Ettusais Eye shadow Colors:

The texture is extremely fine! So easy to blend and it didn’t crease at all. (You know how irritating it is to see crease lines at the end of the day) The color stays on pretty well too! No need for touch-ups. And the sponge applicator is sooooooo soft!!! =D

Apply some lipstick for a full sexy smooch lips!

I’m using RD1 of the Lip Color N from Ettusais. Feels moisturizing! And also, this is not the creamy type so it simply coats your lips with a light healthy red tone.
