Kuriya’s outlet at Great World City went through a revamp and held it’s private opening today!!! yes, private opening~ for the customers of Kuriya only. And it was a dream come true for me too~

this is the best SAKE i’ve ever tasted! Extremely smoothing to the throat. Sweet and dry. Excellent!

Why is it a dream come true for me?

Because… I’ve always hoped to eat at Kuriya for free! And guess what!??

LOOK at the whole table of King Crabs~

This is heavenly! The meat is soft, juicy and sweet. Nothing like our chilli crabs. Nothing at all. I’ve never been a fan of crabs but these king crabs really caught my attention for the whole night! They are so good that me and kelvin wipped out 2 full plates of it! They halved the shell and with the use of the special fork, we can easily pick the meat up.

The chef’s speciality! They wrap the fish with bamboo leaves and cover with chunks of sea salt and slowly bake it for 2 hours~ Surprisingly, the meat is still tender and juicy!

there well alot more food. A range of sashimi, nigiri and yakitori. And i love their Chawamushi!!

Desserts were the usually sweet cakes. But i tried sth new!

PEA cake! haha… not bad.. kinda cute of them to grill the Edamame~

They had games as well.. I was trying my luck to win a bottle of Umeshu.

With Tatara-san. The boss of kuriya. Who also owns the whole chain of ichiban sushi and many other japanese restaurants. from low-end to high-end…

With koezuka-san and I have no idea who she is. lol… not his wife definitely.

I had a great time! a great time stuffing myself with king crabs, sashimi and nigiri. lol.. All that $$ we’ve spent previously at Kuriya were worth it for just tonight..

It was almost the most tiring day in my life~

I had lectures @ 8.30 in the morning and reported for rehearsals @ 1pm..

Somehow, we didnt understand why we needed to be there 10hours before the show. Only when the rehearsals and preparations started, we got a sense of how messy it was to handle 110 models~

There were 3 shows in total: Wardroblings, FurrMuse & Pouf.

Wardroblings had their catwalk rehearse first, so we, Pouf! went for makeup. I was like, “what! it’s only 1pm and we’re getting our thick make-up on!!??”

Oh well, before we could have proper makeup on, we were told to go for catwalk rehearse..

Everything ended around 11+pm? My feet were almost giving way..!

I’m really happy to have done the show though i performed badly.. was watching the video snips that kelvin took of me.. my catwalk was atrocious. slouching back, swinging arms, bad turns.. boo. thank god agent wasn’t there, else i would be screwed up badly. =X

But i’m glad to know the girls. they are such a bunch of fun girls man~ Stella, Jessica, Shn, Vera, Anna, Abigail, Weiling, Gix. And not forgetting my model babe, Emi~ It’s our 1st show together! And hopefully, there’s more to come!

Now, meeting all these beautiful and gorgeous babes, I felt kinda inferior. They’re tall, slim, pretty. All with such great face features! Kinda regretted not doing jaw operation.. feel like doing up my cheeks.. =(

Anyway, Kelvin, Edwin & Norman came to see me in action…

Koezuka-san invited us to join his family for this year’s Japanese Summer Festival.

went for fitting yesterday. wearing a turqouise ruffled toga mini dress.
show starts @ 10pm, pre-show @ 9.30pm.

entry is $15 before 10pm.

i cabbed down from school to red dot for casting today during my 2hrs’ break. taxi cost me $20.

what i got was, “Oh, you’re wearing braces. Oh well, sorry, I would love to work with you but I dont think we’ll engage for the 2 events as you’ll be required to mingle with the guests.”

there isn’t many girls on the casting list.. so I hope they will consider me..
told agent about it and she just kept quiet….

well, 2 more castings tml.. feeling sian.
considering the nature of the 2 shows, i doubt i’ll be selected.

Just caught the Men’s 1500m Freestyle Finals.

Hackett and Crochrane were pitting in the first half while in the mid-race, Mellouli caught up and led all the way.

I must say it’s tough to compare Kome & Kuriya.

Kome’s sushi’s’ are excellent!
Kuriya’s sashimi and handmade soba noodles are marvellous!

Lawrence gave us a huge discount for the meal. I was shocked. It was like a 50% off man~ Luckily for that, else I would probably not wanna go back there again.. C’est tres cher! ($_$)*

Haste Run is organized by a group of expats living in Singapore, for their children. It’s been going for many years and they have done more than 600 runs. Once every fornightly.

This time round, the route was somewhere at upper bukit timah, i think.

The route is marked by tissue and flour! And you’re suppose to shout “On On!” to show that you’re on the right track and for people behind can follow up.

we went through muddy places, across small lakes, climbing slopes. It was a tough one man. I didnt expect to get so dirty and rough!
