I was so looking forward to this wedding because amanda is a bridal gown designer and joe’s family is in textiles. That’s how they met too. While amanda was looking for fabric, she stepped into the shop and so happened joe served her. =)

It such amazing that Ron and J can handle the 3 kids.

the you.

been doing some deep thinking recently, with some fruitful results in certain aspect. still feeling slowly about the rest.

i realised that for a relationship to work out, it’s not how both parties complement each other. it’s not how much you are giving or taking.

it’s about yourself. all about yourself.
whether you’re happy in the relationship.
whether you like the “you” in the relationship.

when we interact and communicate with people, the other party influences the way we present ourselves to them.

in a relationship, with long term and high rate of interactions, one tend to change oneself. Whether you like it or not, it’s a fact that one do change. It could be minimal, it could be drastic.

put it in another way, different people brings out the different thing in you. So, it’s about whether you like what is being brought out of you.

I behaved very differently in my relationships. I know what i like about myself, i know what i dislike about myself.

if you ask me whether i like the current me, it’s a yes and no.

what’s your views about “the you”?

心不在焉

I was doing my homework on the journey back home from french lessons. I drop off and Raffles Place instead of City Hall, hoping that there will be seats. As i took the escalator up, i saw the train there and i rushed in without looking at the signs. I comfortably seated myself in and continued with homework.

After several stops, I looked up and saw a shopping mall that look extremely unfamiliar.  As i was wondering since when a new mall is up in the east, I heard the announcement “Ang Mo Kio”.

SILLY ME! I took the wrong train~

-_-”

ok, i made it back to tampines though. but the story doesnt stop here.

I took 293 home and i made sure i got on the correct direction. But the bus driver went the wrong way!! He drove to the stadium instead of library~

I was wondering.. What’s with tonight man…

drive trip

feels good to be having a cup of hot coffee on a gloomy rainy day.

im tired though. contemplating if i should go for french lesson.

Photobucket
the dark clouds on our journey back…

we hit singapore in the evening and managed to catch Red Cliff.
It wasn’t fantastic.

——————————————————-

Attended the French National Day celebrations last night. It was quite a disappointment..

Singapore Art Museum lose all out to Goodwood Park Hotel.

I can’t believe they adopted the self-service buffet style this year. The whole place was small, flooded with people.

Photobucket

Food wasn’t impressive. No fresh osyters, no foie gras. The macaroons were overly-sweet.

The only thing good was the cheese. Look at the luxurious spread of cheeses. This was only part of it.
Photobucket

For the first time, i enjoyed cheese so much! really good cheese. yum yumm…

Well.. i believe russians would keep up the standard and it cant be any worse off at Shangri-la.  haha.. vodka, vodka, vodka.. and sexy russian models!

why fret?

In a recent TV interview in Shanghai, Tony Leung revealed why he is finally marrying his girlfriend of 19 years, Carrie Lau.

“Why are we getting married this year? Possibly it’s because Carina’s father died last year. She felt that while our families are around, we should let them witness what they ought to witness.” Apple Daily qouted him as he spoke to the TV host.

Leung also revealed what made them tick as a couple. “I’m more of a loner and quieter, with a few friends. We’re well-balanced as she’s cheerful and has many friends. If you’re alone for too long, you’d hope for some excitment but not too much. But after a while, when there’s a meeting with many friends, I will feel happy. And it’s fun.”

Asked if Lau regards him as her source of strength, he said: “She looks strong but is inwardly weak. I am both strong outside and inside. We match. So when she feels confused about things and is perplexed, I will tell her not to worry.”

Asked how they sort out any squabbles, he revealed what may be the secret to their long-lasting relationship.

“I will avoid confrontation.. calm down a bit and view the issue objectively. Life’s too short to fret over things.”

mid-line torture

today’s dental appointment almost killed me.

it wasn’t physically painful but what the dentist did was mentally torturing!

My upper teeth mid-line is 2mm off the center so we’ve got to adjust it. By right, my dentist promised me to shift both front teeth together. However, the professor insisted on moving one tooth at a time.

The moment i heard that, my face turned pale. *OMG* It means that I’m gonna have a stupid 2mm space in between my 2 front teeth for bloody 3 weeks!!!!!!!!

I looked at my dentist pitifully.. but it didnt helped at all~

While he was cutting the wire and banding it, the thought of the 2mm space hunts me over and over again.. And i nearly burst into tears.. =(

hai.. 3 weeks.. 3 weeks.. 2mm space…

busy july

I’m happy that July is here as there’s a whole lot of activities in line for me. =)
