Butter Egg Rolls from Kee Wah Bakery (Hong Kong)
so tasty!! different from our tradition Chinese Love Letters that we eat during CNY. other biscuits were nice too. (^_^)Y
Twenty-two-year-old, Sebastien, leads an impoverished life with his immigrant family constantly struggling to support them. While repairing the roof of a neighbor’s house, he overhears a conversation about an expected package which promises to make the household rich. Sensing the opportunity of a lifetime, Sebastien intercepts the package which contains a series of specific instructions. Following the clues, he assumes a false identity and manages to slip through the grasp of the enclosing police as he ventures deeper and deeper into the countryside. The closer he gets to his destination and the more people he meets along the way, the less he understands about what he is looking for. Ultimately, he comes face to face with a ring of clandestine gamblers placing bets on the outcome of a multi-player, high stakes tournament of Russian roulette.

=)
started my 1st day at TeleDirect yesterday. As usual, i was late? =X
i got board the bus on time but i found my hp missing from my handbag shortly. damn. in the end, i took the return journey and picked up my phone from home. caught a cabby down. -_-” haix. there goes 1hr of pay. sian.
it’s been such a long time since i took up office jobs. the last one was at computer associates in 2005? shanghai experience doesnt count. lolx.
as i expected, im so not used to office working hours and the pay. felt shitty when i found out DT only pays $5/hr for training. We undergo “training” throughout the hours. it was such a waste of time.
anyway, made new friends! i like my IBM team. haha. but it does not make any contribution to the work motivation.. *yawn*
met up with kelvin after work. headed to ikea to get some energy-saving lightbulbs and off we go to MAGMA! “a german wine & bistro shop”
wanted to bring my parents there for daddy’s birthday but they were afraid of the costly prices. but to my surprise, it isnt expensive~
The German Specialty!
<Roasted Pork Knuckles> $19.90 only!!!

the knuckles were damn good! tasty & tender meat, slightly burnt crispy skin with a thin layer of non-gelak fats~ haha. yum yum.
love the white wine too~ kinda disappointing that it was the last bottle. next batch comes in only in may. =(
[14 days more in TeleDirect... i think i should start strategize my 'leave days'. =pPp]
Fine dining is putting weight on me. =(

Parma Ham. Best italian ham you can have~

Buffalo Mozarella with tomatoes. Love the cheese!!

Chocolate Profiteros.. yum yum..
Food @ Valentino is very good. one of the places where you can get good authentic italian food. well, i dont think its expensive. just dont drink wine, that will do. haha. =)
———————————————————–
so much for wanting to pursue the life i want.. the current situation seems to be going opposite of what im seeking for. how should i continue with the journey?
————————————————————
will be working @ teledirect for the next 3 weeks. how i wish their office was still at raffles. =(
Art Exhibition @ Alliance Francaise
Artist: Mo Maurice Tan
“Take a ride with Paris-based Singaporean artist Mo Maurice Tan in Metropolis. Exploring the methods of commuting in various metropolises, the subject matter of the artist ranges from dark subways and train stations, to harbours and airports.”

Shanghai. Didnt really like it. the warm colors contridicts the scenary.

New York Fifth Avenue, Metro Station. My favourite piece.
Met a few french people. My 1st time attending an opening of the art exhibition. Pretty good experience and exposure. =)
headed for dinner after appreciation of arts. Dined @ Sebastien’s (French cuisine) with Kelvin, Edwin, Norman and Xue Yi. The guys kept teasing me about my age.
Norman: Me and Xue yi have knew each other for a long long time. 24 years man. our friendship is older than you. haha.
We had escargots, onion soup, beef, lamb, sea bass, red wine.. the bread served was good. with walnuts. yum yum.
the desert highlights:

Warm Chocolate cake. (i still prefer BakerzIn’s)

Apple Doughnuts. (this is very good!)
had a drink at wine bar after the filling dinner. Horochi joined us. a very friendly and humourous Japanese guy who is stationed in vietnam.
3 years of hoping is coming to an end.
with a tinge of disappointment…
seems like my dream is not gonna come true. haix.
geez. i never learnt to appreciate APEL lessons. but currently, i finally understood the importance and value of APEL.
I must say it provided me with a great deal of help in filling in those brain-cracking questions under the university and scholarship applications.
oh well.. written test and interview for NTU Com Studies on Saturday. Wish me luck alright? =)
Sunday 11 Mar 07
went down to IT fair. got a mouse, keyboard & 1gb thumbdrive. cheap cheap.

headed down to Singapore Art Museum in the evening…

is that cherry or red pepper? haha.
we sneaked into the exhibition which was still undergoing preparation. =X
<mascow displays>

there are a few cameras situated around the museum. capture images and screen on this special LCD television at the hall..

that’s the back view of me and kelvin! haha. pretty amazed by it. =)
the wayang costumes.. skillful workmanship.. glamourous details.

i like the orange retro dress! wonder if my mom still keeps any of those. definitely a classic!
watched the making of cheong sam & kabaya.. ultra impressive with the embiodery skills!! feel like getting a tailored piece. hee.

nevertheless, we made our way to menotti!! rebec’s scallop pasta was the ultimate!! *drools*
the ones that made us happy!! =)

just love hanging out with them. there’s so much to talk and update about.. especially with a series of events happening recently.. cant wait till our next gathering. i know it was my fault to leave early. *gulits*

watched protege with kelvin.. enjoyed the movie alot except that the self-destructing and hammer wrecking parts. :S
so which is more scary? emptiness or drugs……
eeeww. im jobless. -_-”
to the fact that i’ve not settled my further studies issues, i have no mood to work man. but on the other hand, im desperately broke!!! broke, broke, broke.
calculating the number of shows i have done in feb and mar, its pathetic! im gonna have a hard time in april and may. =(
